1:16 scale toy harvesting train carts as used for apple harvesting. You will need to make one “front” cart per set. It can be connected to as many “follower” carts as desired.
Compatible to Bruder 1:16 tractors or to the printable 1:16 compact tractor.
Designed for crates of size 75x62.5x55mm (1:16 scale of the 1200x1000x870 mm harvest boxes used for apples). I do not yet have a 3d printable model for these, as I made them out of wood (I however plan to design and publish printable models in the near future).
Note: The axle holes are undersized in the model such that they can be drilled out with a 4.8mm drill (for a smooth surface – it is after all the “bearing”)
The following Lego parts are required per cart:
- 2 x 3749 Axle to Pin Connector (alternative number 6562)
- 2 x 55982 18 mm Rim with center groove
- 2/3x 58090 Tire 30.4x14 Solid (3 tires are required for the front cart)
The following hardware is needed for the front cart:
- 8 x ISO14583 Screw M2x6
- 1 x ISO7380-1 Screw M3x14
- 2 x ISO7089 Washer M3
- 1 x steel axle 2.8x21 mm (I used a 2.8x40mm nail from a local hardware store cut to length)
