Spring is approaching, and I wanted to refresh my plants, so here's a new take on the butt planter! I recommend printing with supports (on the build plate only) because the raised base allows for drainage.
The planter is 149x122x131 mm with an opening that is roughly 100x80 mm. If you choose to use a container and not to plant directly in the planter, I recommend multiple slender containers that aren't obstructed by the crotch, eg 2" diameter x 4" tall.
The interior slopes into 6 6mm drainage holes to help evacuate excess water. I also included a 7mm tall custom tray.
Whether you print with or without supports, you'll need to clean up the bridge layer beneath the drainage holes. This layer helps keep the hole diameter clean and is easily cleaned with a pocket knife.
Note: you may want to customize the seam to produce a consistent seam.
