Flexible Dog Info Tag

My sisters elderly dog, Harry, lost both of his eyes due to a medical condion, we let his hair grow over his face so you can't see his eyes are missing. Because of this, people often dont notice he is blind and will make comments about his hair being in his eyes, and we have to explain that he doesnt have any.

I designed this tag to fit onto the collar so it sits on the back of the neck and can be seen without touching the dog. I wanted to make it so it could be removed easily for the dogs comfort at home, so designed it with a simple slot in each end where elastic can be threaded through, and the tag slid onto the collar when required. I also wanted it to be large enough to be read easily but at the same time, comfortable for the dog to wear, so decided on a print in place flexible design, to contour the shape of the dogs neck.

I plan to make more designs in the future, adding in “deaf”, “Nervous” and possiby a “Happy”  option.

Printed on a Prusa MK3 Printer with a 0.4 Revo 6 Nozzle without an MMU. To get the colour change, just set it when you slice the model. I like to challange myself to design in ways that means supports are not required, to reduce wasted plastic, so no supports are required for this print.
