A few years ago, we purchased some toilet paper that didn’t have a tube in it. This was BC. (Before Covid) It was appropriately crappy. The company claimed they were trying to be more “green”; I think they were just cutting costs for the share holders. Fast forward to now. Our paper towel rolls now have wimpy tubes and don’t rotate well. While emptying a roll of Cling Wrap, I noticed that the tube is rock solid with a diameter that was just a wee bit narrower than the paper towel tubes. I came up with a solution that satisfies me. YMMV. The 2 prints fit together nicely and can be glued if desired. The black bumpers keep it from sliding.
