Sodastream dryer cap
Sodastream plastic bottles are tricky to keep upside-down, because they are large in the middle and easily tilt. This model proposes a simple solution: screw a cap with an open end, to allow the drops out, make it a little larger increasing the footprint to improve the stability.
With respect to other solutions this doesn't have plastic elements that touch the inside (3D printed elements absorb humidity and can develop mold) and adding only 4 mm of extra vertical space allows to place the bottle with the cap installed in cabinet a drainer, but it works also on the sink, and reportedly in the dishwasher (be careful with the material).
Small canals ensure the water can escape even if placed on a flat surface.
Printing instructions
The model can be printed with PETG or PLA, no supports are required. 0.2 mm layer height is suggested to reduce the artifact on the screw profile.
The double thread used by Sodastream is quite slow, small threads will be unavoidable but won't reduce the functionality.
