Soundhole cover designs that work on ukulele or baritone ukulele using flexible filament (this type [Amazon], others should work). It won't get rid of all the instrument's sound, but will reduce it a bit. Also apparently this sort of design is good for cutting down on feedback when playing amplified.

With the proper adjustment of the model, you should be able to use it for any uke, guitar, or guitar-like instrument.
