I made this tool to have a precise way to check that X-Y axis are square on a custom made core XY printer, and can be used on any printer.
Print two squares, same orientation, same settings
Bolt them back to back with two short M3 screws
Make sure the side with screws are well aligned on all 3 sides
Check the deviation on the opposite end
The offset of the 2 squares will be twice the actual deviation
The hole is 2 mm, in the picture I can estimate the offset to be 10%, so 0.2 mm
This printer has a deviation of 0.1 mm on 100 mm
After a few trial, the next one as no measurable deviation
