We are lovers of wine, especially Chianti Classico wines from Tuscany, Italy.
If you have a chianti at home, you will notice it has a picture of the black rooster, “Gallo Nero” on the label or neck of the bottle.
While in Italy, I snapped a picture of the statue demarking the northern boundary of the chianti classico region, and based this model off that image.
the beveled model is more true to the physical statue, but harder to print. Either resin, or printed on edge with supports in an FDM. I printed with the back of the tail feathers on the bed, which results in a good head, but some messy lines on the back of the feathers.
the flat version of the model is much simpler to print on fdm, with just a small support required under the feet pegs.
