This a CR2450 battery holder.

It was originally designed for use inside a Zojirushi rice cooker. There is a battery hard soldered inside the rice cooker that powers the internal clock and front clock face. I followed this tutorial to replace the battery. I wanted to have a battery holder for the CR2450 so that, in the future, I don't need to go through all the trouble of unscrewing the circuit board, desoldering the old battery, etc.

The model is designed such that the negative end of the battery faces up. I suppose you could cram it in negative down, but not sure how well that would work.

I used the original soldered on metal tabs from the old battery to thread through the small slits in the model. I carefully used an box cutter blade to pry off the tabs from the battery. If you need to straighten out the metal tabs, put the tab on a flat hard surface and hammer it flat. Then thread and bend as required to hold battery in place. Solder the exposed tabs on the underside to the appropriate terminal on the circuit board. I soldered it to the side of the circuit board that faces the bottom of the rice cooker. That way, next time I need a battery change, I only have to remove the rice cooker's bottom cover and I can access the battery without taking off the circuit board.
