Presented here is my take on the old-school 12V light posts used for various lights and signals of the 12v train sets.
Having tried a few versions I found online with both FDM and SLA printing nothing seemed to work as nicely as the original.
Admittedly these could use some work as far as possibly thickening the outer walls by a few .1's of a mm hence why I've included the step files for people to be able to change it however they like.
I've also taken the liberty of removing the very last stud hole from the length to enable this to be printed directly on the build plate of an Anycubic Photon S.
The design also has a built-in 1mm additional tolerance to the standard 8mm stud size. I found this works beautifully and provides a nice clutch for the entire mast length.
Print them lying flat on the build plate after dialling in your elephant's foot compensation and you shouldn't have a problem. For those that haven't done this, you may find the model will only snap together on one side, however, this won't really matter as lights are usually affixed from the same side anyway.
Print time for me was 11 minutes with the mono-upgraded photon s.
