This mount is to get the best possible data for resonance testing for Klipper's input shaping. It is designed specifically for the Dragonfly BMS heatblock, as it uses the threads for the heater and thermistor grub screws. Note that there is some care required to not destroy these screws, make sure the screws you use to mount the adxl mount do not bottom out on the grub screws!!! For the thermistor I personally had around 3 mm of thread, while for the heater I only had a little bit more than 1 mm (the mount is 7 mm thick). All screws are socket head hex screws, with 3 mm head length and head diameter up to 5.5 mm.

I could thus succesfully use a M3x10 screw for the thermistor thread, while for the heater thread (front) I had to use an M3x8. Notably, as it was a little bit to short at first, by heating up the screw with a soldering iron and pushing it in a tiny bit (~0.5-1 mm) I got it just that much further to grab the thread.

Printing should be straightforward, I made walls at least 1.2 mm thick so a 0.4 or 0.6 mm nozzle should work well. Orient it so that the cutout for the adxl pins are pointing upwards (and use some elephants foot correction if needed).

Assembly goes like this: First drop in the 2 M3 nuts into the cutouts. I recommend then taking an M3x10 mm screw to pull the nuts into place, then removing the screws again. Then home the toolhead, move it to the middle of the printbed, raise Z to 150-200 mm (to have good access) remove the silicon sock from the heater. Notice that the two threads are not equally spaced from the nozzle, and align the mount so that the holes line up. Carefully tighten the two screws (front screw, which goes into the heater thread was an M3x8, back screw, going into the thermistor thread was an M3x10 - again, take care to not bottom out the screws onto the grub screws by checking whether the adxl mount has play while the screw is getting tight).

After the mount is well mounted, next screw on the adxl345 with 2 M3x8 screws that will catch the M3 nuts you previously dropped in. Do resonance testing, then disassemble everything in reverse.

Let me know if it worked for you as well as it did for me!
