I purchased some colored wire wrapping wire on aliexpress. The ugly mixed up mess that came forced me to action. It took some time to untangle the wires and wind them all to individual tiny spools, but the result is quite satisfying.
Printed using PETG, 0.2mm layers, 3 perimeters, infill does not matter and obviously no supports.
Other than the filament you need two M3x15 screws and a piece of 3mm bungee.
A drop of silicon oil on the threads of the spool helps a lot. The bungee is joined by a piece of wire but a simple knot would suffice.
To wind the wire on the spools I used an electric screwdriver with some tape wrapped around the bit to fit the spool.
EDIT: added new version of the spool with larger thread clearance in case the thread is too tight. Only the part with the inner thread is modified (no need to print the other part again).
