Wanted a rather medium size quadcopter for basic flying, being able to transport FPV-camera and shooting HD-images, -video ...
... but it had to be foldable for transportation in a backpack, on holliday.

Motors and props rather low kv and wide for being able to lift a heavier load.

So ... learned myself to design in fusion360 and designed all parts from scratch.
Then 3D-printed everything and got assembling.
! the arms are build of a carbon-tube with diameter of 14mm that I bought in my local RC-shop.

"DadDrone" because I am a dad and it is my design. Oldest son also designed some parts for his own chassis.
3: because this is my thirth design.
Design 2 is also a foldable quad which is FULL 3D-printed. I might publish those files also later.

I printed everything out of (Prusa) PETG.

How I Designed This

First Fusion360-project

Learned Fusion360 (search youtube for "learning fusion360 or die trying" Thumbs UP!! )
and got started with a little help form my son (who knew autocad-basics from school)

First made some calculations regarding the chassis, length of the arms, the foldable-solution, .. drew some plans on good ol' paper and rulers

Designed prototype, 3D-printed them (PETG), build the prototype, redesigned parts, corrected errors, ..
After first maiden flight, again redesigned chassis and new parts for camera-placement (gopro-style and FPS

for strength and weight: for the arms I used 14mm carbon tubes that I bought in my local RC-shop.
EVERYTHING else is 3D-printed.

(shown pictures still of prototype I)
