I created this life counter because I was not satisfied with the existing ones. They either have an internal mechanism that makes turning them pretty hard or limits the movement to one direction, others do not have anything that makes them “snap” which I also didn't like.
This model is supposed to be cut from wood, but I did print it as a prototype and it works well. Needs 24 3x1mm magnets (in the pictures it shows only 22 that are closer apart, but I added a second one in the middle and made the plugs bigger for better snapping and gluing.
Print each piece once except for the plugs. They need to be glued in.
The counter works well and it feels good to spin the dials and see them lightly snap into place.
