This fin cam relies on cutting a hole in your board…here where I live people seem to throw out perfectly good boards so scored a few donor boards to try this out. Scored a near perfect 2006 iSonic 111 just a few meters from my house…how good is that? A piece of 3mm polycarb fits on tightly, held in place by 6 bolts. Use those melt in bolt holder things.
After you cut the hole in the board, glue it in place using expanding foam.
It's a bit of a challenge getting the GoPro bolted on the mount but for me could not change the design. When using, turn the GoPro on, fill the cavity with the same water you are sailing in (otherwise you get refraction that moves the fin out of field of view), then bolt the cover plate on. Turn off all the fancy GoPro stabilisation stuff else the GoPro will crop most of the good footage.
