This is a fascinating optical illusion that seems to have two rings rotate aound each other on their edges.
However, this design employs a 120-volt magnetic power supply and a magnetic disc that levitates the rings in the air a few centimeters. The power supply I have from Kinglev is no longer in stock and was much less expensive than what is offered today. Amazon now offers a TONEBAR Magnetic Levitating Pedastal for $79.99 which seems to use the same magnetic disc as the one I have.
I first saw this Illusion on Dave Garaway's Today Show on channel 4, c1950.
