In an upcoming project I need to spread glue evenly with a rather small notched spatula. I don't know where to buy such, but I know some FreeCAD. 😁
In the dim spreadsheet you can alter the values to create a spatula with individual dimensions (see image gallery). I think the naming is quite self explanatory.
The calc spreadsheet does some calculations. For example the width of the spatula is re-calculated so that a whole number of notches and teeth will fit according to their dimensions (in the example shown above the spatula is actually 27 mm wide, not 30). — Although there are basic value checks, entering arbitrary values in dim may cause wrecking the model. Change formulas only if needed and at your own risk!
Printing
The spatula can be printed in pretty any material, no supports needed. Choose material settings to fit your needs; e. g. PLA for stiffer spatulas, PETG for more flexible ones. The yellow one in the photos was printed in PLA with very basic settings. No supports needed.
