QIDI X-MAX Nozzle Scrub

This simple support allows to install a small silicone tab (recoverable from an old hotend sock). Useful for cleaning the nozzle from the melted filament caused by the “oozing” which occurs during the print preparation phase.


UPDATE: REV3 Added
- Added 4 silicone strips
- Improved stability with a set screw connecting the two elements. 
- Slightly increased support size

 

 

This modification is based on my previous project:

and only the upper right portion of the aligner needs to be replaced. 

 

Designed for Qidi X-Max may also be compatible with X-Plus (Not Tested yet).

Specs:
The holder will be installed closely with the heat plate, please use a high temperature resistant filament such as ABS or higher.

Printed with:

• 0.15 layer height 
• 3 perimeters, 5 top-solid-layers and 5 bottom-solid-layer
• 30% rectlinear infill
• Print in place

It requires a thin strip of silicone approximately 5x8 mm. 
The strip can be fixed with a piece of filament (1.75) of about 1.5 cm
