Have you heard about the Hat Polykite, the World’s First Aperiodic Monotile? It means this newly discovered 13-sided shape can tile a surface to infinity with no repeating patterns!

On March 20, 2023, a group of computer scientists (David Smith, Joseph Samuel Myers, Craig Kaplan and Chaim Goodman-Strauss) revealed their discovery of the holy grail of tiles.

A simple 13-sided shape, nicknamed the "hat polykite", is the first shape known that can cover a plane indefinitely without ever repeating a pattern.

In the world of math, this shape is known as an "aperiodic monotile", also called an "einstein" (or the German phrase for "one stone"), presumably the one stone to rule them all!

We have completely redesigned this object using Autodesk Fusion 360 to remove the original inaccuracies created in Tinkercad. There are also 2 versions now: a regular version for puzzles and a tapered version for decorative walls (labelled A and B for 2 different handedness).

Go ahead, print a whole bunch and enjoy these infinite building blocks. Don't forget to post some pictures to show us your creations!
