Churro Disk for Kitchenaid Cookie Press. 57mm disk, Churro opening is 30mm wide at the widest and 10mm in the center, 2mm thick. Made with PETG so hand wash. I have had PETG warp in the Dishwasher.  The Disk with the hole it in will give you more Churros and will cook more evenly.  I like both. Solid one the center is a little wet but that is ok if it is cooked properly.  It will be raw dough if you do not cook it all the way.

This recipe will fill up the Kitchenaid Cookie press one time.  It is by Rick Bayless.

Churro

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 tablespoon sugar, plus 2/3 cup to roll the churros in

Vegetable oil to a depth of 1 inch, for frying

1cup (4 1/2 ounces) all-purpose flour

1 cup water

½ tsp salt

Optional

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, preferably Mexican canela (optional)

Putut in a small pot and heat the water, oil, salt, sugar and heat and stir until it is dissolved and bring to light boil. Add flour until it is a ball while stirring.

Let cool and then make put in press. Oil is 375F 190C.

Toss with sugar and cinnamon and you can put them in an oven on low heat to keep warm until all are done.  I double the recipe for a family of 4.

The chocolate sauce is just some Trader Joe's dark chocolate with Cream, Milk, tsp of corn starch for thickening and a teaspoon of coca powder.  You can alter for taste. Nothing special going on.
