After the launch of our Braille Scrabble, we were contacted by a chemistry teacher at a Polish school for the blind with a rather interesting idea. She noted that the Scrabble board offers great educational opportunities. After the meeting, we jointly came up with the idea of using it, in the first instance, to do chemical structural formulae.
So, based on the same code base, we created a board for structural formulae, as well as tiles to identify chemical elements and bonds.
We attach gCodes for just a few basic examples of bonds and symbols as well as collections large enough to build most organic chemistry compounds.
Print settings
We made the board quite thick, thicker than Scrabble as it's intended for usage for many years by many students.
We recommend printing with PLA, 0.4 mm nozzle for tiles and 0.6 mm nozzle for board parts. Remember to print 4 board parts.
