This is a mount for an inexpensive PIR motion sensor. They can easily be stuck flat on the wall, but if you want to put them up higher, you'll probably want to aim them down, hence the creation of this item.

This mount fits Sonoff Zigbee PIR Sensor model SNZB-03. I buy the sensors from AliExpress.

They work well with my generic Zigbee hub which I use with Home Assistant.

As for attaching this mount to the wall, I use a Medium size 3M Command Adhesive strip. You can get them wherever. I do recommend mounting the base plate, leave that up for 24 hours, then put the sensor holder and sensor in place. This will help ensure nothing falls off.

Notes:

Designed to be printed without supports, rafts or brim. if printing in ABS, you'll want a brim.

I've left about 0.5mm tolerance inside the holder to allow for printers being a shade out of spec. The base of the sensor holder is 2mm thick, which leaves enough flex to insert and remove the sensor without too much trouble.

I recommend using 3m command adhesive strip(s) to secure the base plate to the wall, let the base plate sit on the wall for 24h before adding the sensor holder and sensor to allow the adhesive to cure.

How I Designed This

All design was done in FreeCAD, a free, open source CAD program that runs on several platforms including Windows and Linux.

I've included both horizontal and vertical mount styles as some may find the sensor has the desired sensitivity level in a different orientation.
