So my mother in law always had a knob like this on her bearded key for her “meterkast”. And that thing was over 30 years old, it became brittle and broke. So I designed and printer her a new one.
It's a 2-piece knob. Just slide one piece over the other (so it makes the key fit really tight) You might have to hammer it in place. Then press the back of the bearded key in the cross with a lot of force.
I printed it in PLA and it works perfect. Printed with 4 outer layers and 40% infill to make it really strong. But depending on the type of infill you use, less might work fine as well.
