I broke the handle on my grabber (grabber of printouts off the printer from across the room behind the Bambu X1C) & didn't want to spend $12 on a new one. So I patterned a model after the broken bits of the handle. Dropper the broken parts down on 5mm graph paper to estimate the size, and verified longest horizontal & vertical dimensions with a caliper. Imported reference photograph into a SOLIDWORKS where I plotted the outline with a spline approximation, measured thickness and hole diameter then extruded to thickness and cut out the hole. The hole came out a bit tight even though the mounting pin measured 0.5mm smaller than the designed 5mm hole. I think it might have been due to 2 things - wet filament (as the surface finish hints at) or the fact that I printed at 100% infill, which can cause finish issues if the extruder is slightly over-extruding. Fixed the problem with a reamer.
The cable locking notch and guide slot were the trickiest bits of the print - I used supports to keep the gap from collapsing and set the Top Z Distance to 0.3mm for ease of support removal. This worked great and supports were only stuck on one side and easily removed with a razor knife, and the gap was flawless despite the horizontal overhang.
There were other similar designs I found on Thangs search but nothing to fit my gripper, which is similar to this one: https://www.amazon.com/BirdRock-Home-Grabber-Pick-Tool/dp/B079QL7NY6/
