I tried to print the 60mm sized egg by Superbeasti (scaled up to 100mm) with two layers of transparent PLA and NO solid infill around the top and bottom end (as the infill is very visible when using transparent filament).
As a result, both ends of the egg are not stable becuase of the tighter radii there.
I removed the non-stable caps of the resulting egg, giving me ~30mm openings at the top and bottom.
I printed a little adapter plate for the top so I can hang the transparent egg on a cable attached to a single LED (+ resistors).
I got these eggs that have just a faint glow of color at night. Made these in six different (LED) colors.
The .stl files provided are the scaled egg and the adapter plate that holds the egg and LED.
