The original depth stop which came with this drill press was flimsy and broke on first use. I found a depth stop on thingiverse but with slightly different dimensions. I decided to build one from scratch using design inspiration from the thingiverse model but using dimensions from the broken depth stop I had.
The resulting model was printed with 70% infill on ABS. The depth stop unlike the original one is in two parts which can be dismantled without taking out the chuck. However when printing, the parts are attached with a thin layer at the bottom. Please remove this layer and clean up before assembling.
The new depth stop is much stronger than what I had before.
