Update May 10 2022:

So it's been a year or so now since I made these. And I have to say, clearly no one printed it. I was reprinting in .10 layer height as well as printing thread into the pull instead of tapping it, just to refresh the ones I had in the truck, and got to thinking about why the thread was so darn tight. So I did some digging.

I initially found a forum post or something saying Nissan used some wacky M4 x 0.8mm pitch, which obviously is slightly more coarse than standard. So I went about learning another CAD program to make my own thread to implement into this. As I'm learning it, I found an Amazon seller with a listing for metal pulls, which mentioned being compatible for a handful of vehicles. They said the thread was #8-32, which clearly could not be right. American thread on my Japanese truck?

I went to my dads toolbox and sorted through screws to find a #8-32 and held it up the thread on the pull, and sure enough, it fit perfectly… I'm defeated, but went back to modelling, added the American thread, did a handful of different tolerance test prints, and now here we are.

Sorry for being long winded, but it was a small journey to find out that all along, my assumed metric thread was in fact, American. The model is now updated. lol

I'm missing one of the door lock pulls on my Datsun 620, but luckily still had one. I decided to go ahead and try to model one since they're super simple designs.

This fits a Datsun 620 and likely any other vehicle with a #8-32 threaded rod for the door lock pulls.

Materials Needed:

  • Patience
  • A kind heart

Print instructions

Just print it out with whatever you think will work. I used PETG since it would be inside the cab where it can get pretty hot.
