I have had quite a bit of issues with the feeding of filament via the AMS while printing multi colour. The filament often gets stopped at the buffer area and then gets rewound. I played with it in my hand (taking it off the printer body) and noticed that if the infeed tube is not perfectly straight going in, it gets rewound after a short delay.
I printed a small simple clip on tube to get the alignment straight.
So far this has made a huge difference and I have not had any colour change issues since.
