I wanted a slicker tuning knob for my new QMX radio. The conventional set screw 6mm knobs it came with were fine but I wanted something I could use to tune around by pushing with the tip of my finger rather than grabbing and turning. I found that bumps rather than divots worked best at this scale. I also made a similar one for the VOL knob to match but slightly smaller. These are also about 4mm lower in profile than the stock knobs.
The fit is pretty tight so don't force them. If needed try to to file the bore with a round file or drill bit. Perhaps adding some dry soap or graphite will help get them on and off.
