This system is designed to be permanently fitted to a garden water butt, to allow excess clean water (for instance, from a kitchen tap while waiting for the water to heat up) to be easily poured in and reused in the garden. It is compatible, and designed to be used, with the Practical Bauhaus Funnel, which fits snugly inside the open end and provides a means of capturing the water.
The outer diameter of the pipe (the part that inserts into a hole in the water butt) is 27.4 mm. The pipe comes with a nut that can be screwed inside the butt to secure the assembly, and a cap to cover the open end while not in use.
The system should be printed from ASA if possible, as it is designed for outdoor use and is likely to be exposed to UV, but will work just fine when made of most other materials (see the photographs of prototypes created to test fit, which were made of Prusament PLA).
