Magnetic Eigth/Fifteen puzzle

Just a classic eight and fifteen puzzles but in magnetic version.

To obtain the Eight puzzles, you need to print the box-3x3 and puzzles-1-8 files.

To obtain the Fifteen puzzles, you need to print the box-4x4.v2, puzzles-1-8, and puzzles-9-15 files.

The puzzles with a 3x3 grid are the same as those used for the 4x4 puzzles.

Print instructions

This is not just a matter of shaving and printing.

In this case, the printing process is paused during the color change to achieve colored text on the puzzles and to insert magnets into the puzzle base. I have prepared 3mf files for the Eight Puzzles and Fifteen Puzzles bases, as well as separate files for puzzles with numbers 1 to 8 and 9 to 15.

For the puzzle base, the print is paused to insert 6x1 mm magnets.

For the puzzles, the print is paused twice to change the color of the numbers.

The Fifteen Puzzles have magnets not only directly under the pieces but also in between, also 6x1 mm, but they can be smaller (e.g., 3x1 mm) to allow smoother sliding, although I haven't tried that.

The magnets in between are not necessary, but they prevent the pieces from falling out when you slide the puzzle in one movement.

The magnets should be attached immediately because they interact with each other and with the printer's extruder, and they can pop out ;) so you should wait a moment for the glue to set.

I have prepared the files for a layer height of 0.2mm and a nozzle of 0.4mm.

In case of any changes, you should verify the layer at which the print should be paused so that the next layer covers the magnets. The printer stops BEFORE printing the layer, and that layer number should be entered (in these files, it is layer 11).
