This is a tweaked version of this excellent model by @Wilko
I'm super appreciative that Wilko provided the Fusion 360 file. This allowed me to quickly and easily modify it. Extra points for using parameter formulas, this made modification even easier!
This is comically large, look at the photos.
I may make a slimmed down version, I think it's way thicker than it needs to be for this size.
Changes I made:
- Scaled up the original model by 2.7x
- Extended the clamping arms
- Moved handle whole closer to the edge of the arm
- Added a fillet & chamfer on the main arm's elbow for additional strength
- v4 Changes the shape and size of the “Platform” to fit the stamp better. The first version was way too loose.
Printing:
The model uses the full width and height of the MK3's build plate. You may need to set the skirt loops to 0.
The screw_clamp_stamp_patform_01_v10.5_large v4.3mf file contains rotated and supports for easier printing.
I recommend using PETG, ASA, ABS etc, not PLA.
Printing in .3mm Draft mode with a .4mm nozzle in Prusa Slicer seems fine, the print isn't the prettiest, but it's functional and saves tons of time.
