UPDATE (08/15/2023): I have flown several launches with this mount and even with zip-ties, there is still a little bounce/rattling. I suggest you shim the camera with the zip-tie cutoffs or other thin stock (left-over balsa?) until I can test and post an update to the model. My next launch will be AUG. 20th, 2023.
====
I recently purchased a RunCam2 4K to shoot onboard videos of my rocket launches. I had difficulty in getting the ones that are currently out there to work for my needs, so I designed these.
I have attached both a 3-in and 4-in body tube version along with a model of the RunCam2 4K itself (not my model). Place the camera in the mount, lens-first, then push gently on the back. it is a nice, tight fit. There are slots on the bottom sides and recesses on the top for zip ties or hook/loop straps for extra security. There are also two holes to screw to your body tube. I recommend epoxying weld nuts to the inside of your tube so you do not have to permanently join the mount to the body tube.
I am working on a BT-60 version but it needs a little more work and I will post it when it's ready.
I printed this on my Creality Ender3 V2 Neo, sliced with PrusaSlicer:
- .16 layer height
- 0.4 nozzle
- 10% Infill - 3D Honeycomb
- 4 perimeters
- Brim - 15mm (I know, it's a lot, but it doesn't move)
