I get splinters, and the real fine metal ones are a pain. Cant do much other then cut slits in your skin near them until you can get at them. Anyway I have a collection of xacto blades and tweezers and wanted a home for them so I made on.
I use a hinge we have at work MS20250-3 and trimmed the edges down to glue into the slots in the model. you could probably use a print in place hinge and glue to back. Haven tried it yet but like https://www.printables.com/model/355434-low-profile-print-in-place-60mm-hinge
