This is a replacement exhaust for the 1960's Nylint Toy Backhoe. Mine were missing so I used my best photogrammetry skills to predict the general shape.
For safety print using a flexible material like TPU or MakeSolid's FlexSolid, which prints a lot like TPU. Print oriented with the flat side of the model down. To be successful with this material, print slowly. We're talking <25mm/s. Infill is up to you, how flexible do you need it to be? I use 3 walls to preserve detail and 10% will be squishy up to 50% which will be semi rigid. Here are the usual suggestions.
1. Print slowly.
2. Use the filament manufacturer's temperature suggestions as a starting point.
3. Turn OFF retraction.
4. Cooling Fan. I turned mine off for the entire print but some say it doesn't matter. YMMV.
5. Supports. I haven't used them so far. Hairspray and a single skirt on glass has worked so far on my Anet A8.
Printing flexible material is fun and a neat skill to have once you get the settings nailed down. Enjoy!
