Great idea from a saxon inventor that never made it to the home improvement markets… thanks capitalism.
The FreeCAD source is available to adjust it to your door… just make the latch becoming a rectangular block as on the photo and you never again can lock yourself out. You will always need to use a key to close the door from the outside - which sounds like a downside - but guarantees, that you cannot leave without a key. That saved me and my parents hundreds of dollars.
Print however you want - but make sure to use a very good glue ("*extreme repair*" or similar) to attach it to the latch.
