Don't find what I was looking for to put in my Lack Table Enclosure, so I created this one.
I try a few good design I found around but none was really what I was looking for… I don't want to see any screw, I also want a track to put my ledstrip on and cover it with a click on diffuser… and a very good lighting.
(Video showing how simple it is to put and remove the diffuser on the channel:)
It also have corner and end plate and triangle dowel pin to help join everything together and lay it down like you want. The track and diffuser could be joined together to obtain the length you need or/and cut to any desire length. (You can also resize the length of it in the Slicer to have the exact length you want). I used CA glue to joined all my part.
In my lack table enclosure I simply put a small part of double side nano tape at each end to hold them in place, it was more than enough, but if you prefer to use screw, you can drill small hole in the bottom of the track and no screw will be visible when the cover will be on. I drill a small hole in one of the Endcap to let my wire gou out, but this will depend on your setup and wiring.
I used 24V DC 300 SMD 5050 cold white led strip that I wire directly to my Prusa MK4 power supply. I later ad a RF remote dimmable switch to control the light. ( https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B074XCKJYB?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 )
The diffuser cover could be print in clear filament for maximum brightness or in white for a more diffuse light. (in clear you will see more where is each led in the diffuser). I choose the clear diffuser for my setup.
I print all this in PETG because it's what I have on hand but I see no reason not to print this in PLA.
I print this on my Prusa MK4 in PETG with .40 nozzle in .20 quality
No support were used but a raft for the channel tower. I print the Channel/Track in a tower style 4 together to have better fit and detail and no support. The diffuser cover was print flat on the table with no support also (See the Slicer file)
Please leave me some comment and let me know if you like or not… and also if you have suggestion to improve the design or need something I did not think off, let me know and maybe I could design it and add it here for you.
Happy Printing :-)
