Parametric coin tube. The STL file included is sized for toonies (CDN $2 coin). I put both loonies and toonies in it.
Its parametric (fusion 360 file) so you can change the diameter to better fit whatever coins you want. You can also change the height to accomodate more or less coins. You can also change the line density to get a different knurl pattern. Just open the f3d file in fusion and select modify >> change parameters. Save it. Then select file >> export. Pick type stl.
Changing the height and line density is pretty straight forward. Just change the parameter to whatever you want. Changing the diameter is a bit tricky. The threading is not parametric so it involves extra steps.
- Change inner diameter parameter to match your coin size. (add 2 mm extra)
- Click in the timeline and edit feature for both threads. Change the size to your inner diameter plus the pitch . The default is 30 mm diameter. So Size is set to 33mm with a pitch of 3mm.
No supports needed. I printed at 0.2 layer height, 15% infill , PLA. Probably you could use whatever settings/material you want.
