This is a turn table I made using an old Overture cardboard spool, black foam board from dollar tree and a few simple 3D prints.
Instructions: First I took a cardboard spool and took off one of the side walls. Then I printed the parts listed (The bottom that holds the ball bearing [608ZZ] and the dowel rod. A plate that slots on the inside of the spool. And a bumper for the top to clean up the look.) I put the bearing into the bottom plate along with the dowel rod. Then I attached the bottom to the plate that will slot into the spool (friction fit). Once the bottom was complete I put it in the spool. Now for the foam board. (found at dollar tree in the arts/crafts section) I traced the cardboard spool's wall onto the foam board and cut it out. I then glued that to the spool using epoxy (you can use any glue such as Elmers) Once that was dry I put the final 3D printed part on with a friction fit to tie everything together.
Note: This turn table unfortunately does not turn on its own, however, I mainly intended for this to be used to 3D scan small to medium sized objects. I personally use photogrammetry so using this, I can just snap a photo and turn it slightly. You could also use LiDAR scanning and just turn the table manually. I'm sure ititss possible for someone to remix this idea to use a small motor to make it turn automatically.
