My girls took advantage of a slightly oversized gap in my follower board, so I had to make a new one. But now what, I have a cavity full of bees how to get them out without letting more back in? This is where the escape cone comes in. designed to fit snugly into the 1.5" hole in the standard laynes hive as designed by Dr. Leo at Horizontalhive.com
Just open up the disk to the full open option and press this in. Not 2 seconds later I had bees flying out and within a day or so the chamber was 99% empty. 😁😁 Take it out, turn the disk back to closed, and toss it into the bee box for future use. :)
