UPDATE 2023-09-30:

I have now made version 2 of the remix. The securing pin is removed and a similar funcion is integrated directly in the handle, making the handle assembly consisting of 3 parts. The gear is secured by a springy snap pin of sorts (unsure of the exact term), that is printed in place.

The axle has also been updated with a slightly smaller flange diameter, so to not risk hitting the side wall.

Assembly is done by simply push the gear and axle into the handle. It is possible to disassemble by pulling and simultaneously twisting the axle.

UPDATE 2023-09-27:

I have now realized that I didn't fully understand the original design by Meister Edel the first time i printed it. It helps reading the description before you print! 😅 The rotating parts are not ment to fall out; there should be a press fit between the axle and lower bearing. If it isn't, some scaling of the axle or glue between the axle and lower bearing is needed.

Meister Edel has now updated his design so it's easier to make the axle stick to the lower bearing. Check it out!

Meanwhile I'll be working on a new iteration of my remix, with even fewer parts. 🔨⏳

/Tim

Original description:

After my kids had their way with the original design by Meister Edel it became apparent that all the small parts needs to be secured in some way. After about 10 min the small parts was gone in the grass, because when the handle was being held upside down all the rotating parts fell out of the handle.

I redesigned the handle and the center axle so that the rotating parts are locked into place by a pin.

Everything still prints without supports and are compatible with the original propeller and pulling rods.
