A revolver bullet for the Dan Wesson .177 caliber air gun. Made this because I did not want to pay $50+ for 25 well made, metal shell, rubber tipped, bullets.
This is made to work with metal, .177 caliber bb's.
Made with Solidworks, sliced on Cura.

Notes:
I used a brim to print both the shell and the tip of the revolver shell.
I INSIST that you print this one at a time to make sure the sides of the bullet doesn't have blobs of plastic that could interfere with the fit of the two pieces. The oozed plastic can formblobs inside of the shell or on the outside of the tip, making it harder to clean and fit together. (tried printing more than one, all at once, and the quality and the fit of the bullet was terrible)
If you have your settings dialed in than feel free to mass produce these on your printer, I still have a long way to go to get this right.
Print orientation:
Shell, have the closed part of the shell be on the print bed, open side must be facing up.
Bullet Tip, have the rounded part of the tip facing up while the skinny part of the bullet be on the print bed. From bottom to top, it should look like the skinny pole is getting wider than curving inwards.
Post-Printing
Putting it together
I printed these pieces to have an interference fit, so if it's in, it's not coming out.
I did not put 45 degree chamfers on the inside of the shell or the bottom of the tip (I will fix that later) so fitting them together may take a bit to get in. You can use a knife to cut these edges so the initial fit will be easier.
once you put the pieces together and they are straight, use a hammer to force the pieces together. (I used the edge of my phone for this, don't do what I did unless you have a brick covered in flex seal for a phone case)
Once that is done, the bullet should just drop into the revolver case. If it does not drop in, you can sand the sides of the bullet until it does.
