I have a wooden freestanding coat rack. Achelle Coat Rack with 11 Hooks Tobacco - Coaster Fine Furni (coasterfurniture.com)
First, one of the coat hanging hooks cracked. It was a minor inconvenience having a missing hook for several years. Then the wooden bottom section that holds the three legs with a t-slot style connection also cracked. This is a bigger problem, because once the bottom section cracks the whole rack tips over. So I measured the broken parts and 3D modeled both the hanging hook and the bottom section.
After a few revisions, the parts fit together nicely, and the rack is back in service.
The original wooden bottom section connected to the rack via a threaded insert spinning onto a threaded stud in the upper section. That is not ideal for 3D printing, so on this one I changed that connection. On the printed version it is a clearance hole for the threaded stud, and you need an M10 hex nut and a socket with an extension to tighten them together.
For the hanging hook, the original wooden hook has a special brass adapter stud that screws into the hook body. Remove that adapter from the broken wooden hook. Then turn the adapter into the 3D printed hook. It will be easier to do this by putting two hex nuts onto the adapter, then tighten the two nuts together, then use a wrench to turn the adapter into the printed hook. After that you simply spin the hook+adapter into a threaded fitting on the coat rack body by hand. The 3D printed hook has a hole for the brass adapter just the right size to fit the self tapping threads.
No supports needed. You might want to specify enough bottom layers to get 100% fill for a couple of inches in the area of the t-slots. It makes the t-slots stronger.
