On Specialized Front Rack & Adventure Plate, the headlight mounts so that it sticks up over the top of the rack, making it difficult to carry anything with a larger footprint than the rack/adventure plate. I designed this adapter to lower the position of the headlight below the rack.

You may need this Lezyne Ebike Fork Mount (Suntour) adapter to mount your headlight on the front of the rack. Check page 6 of the Front Rack & Adventure Plate installation guide (found on this page) to see if you need this additional adapter or not. My local Specialized bike shop was able to order the adapter for me for $8. If your headlight cable is not long enough to move the headlight to the front of the rack, you'll need an extension cable for another $8, which your local bike shop should also be able to order from Specialized (SKU S236800005).

Use an M5x16 screw and M5 nut (or lock nut) to attach the headlight & fork mount to the printed part. I used a bit of blue locktite in the threads of the M5 nut, and in the threads of the front rack, but BE CAREFUL. Locktite will dissolve ASA. Apply the locktite directly to the nut and front rack with a toothpick, wipe off any excess, and thread the screw completely through the printed part first so that the locktite never comes in contact with the printed part.

Material: Polymaker ASA

Infill: 50%

Infill Pattern: Triangle

Perimeters: 5

Supports: Yes, for the hole for the hex nut

November 9, 2023: I keep bumping my headlight into things and breaking the mount, so I'm testing out a thicker version. I recommend bumping up the perimeters to 6, triangle infill to 80%, and making sure the infill direction is diagonal to the print.

June 28, 2023: Added a new model with arms & space for 3x6mm magnets to attach two Lumos Firefly Minis to use as turn signal lights
