Bought one of the cheap $30 chronographs off Amazon it's designed to be mounted on the barrel of the gun but I wanted the option to mount it on a tripod. It's also easy to shout-out the rear LED so I wanted to protect it as well. As a bonus I included a sun shade. It was designed before I made the tripos mount so it was to tall. You should be able to shorten it in your slicer.
You will also need
1/4x20 nut
4 M3x15 countersunk screws
You should be able to leave it on and still mount it on the barrel.
