I designed a wall mount to fit my Amazon Fire 7 tablets. I'm using these to host my Home Assistant GUI using Fully Kiosk. This one took me a while but it printed great about 7 times now. I'd love to hear your feedback or suggestions and hope it works for you as well!

Required: 4x Heat Set Inserts, 4x hex head bolts, 180 degree USB cable (link below), drywall screws. (Note: I did this a few weeks back and forgot the screw sizes, I'll try and include them later.)

Included a .3mf file with the settings I used to print using my Bambu X1C. None of the prints needed supports as long as they are oriented correctly.

The open holes on the face are meant to accept threaded brass inserts that screw in from the back plate and secure the tablet in place. I also designed it to specifically fit with the 180 degree microUSB cable linked, so if you're trying to use another you may have to sand it down.

USB cable: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B093SWG63B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Instructions:

  • Install the heat set inserts into the open corner holes of the face plate.
  • Plug in the 90 degree MicroUSB cable to the Fire 7 tablet.
  • Place the face plate down on the table. Insert the Fire 7 Tablet.
  • Place the back plate on top of the face place using the raised edges as guides.
  • Route the USB cable over the top of the back plate and into the cable trough.
  • Screw the bolts into the brass inserts to secure the tablet between the face and back.
  • Mount the wall plate where you want the tablet to be housed.
  • Line up the four square guides on the back of the tablet mount with the wall plate. Press in and push down gently. It should secure in place with the cable coming out from the bottom hole.
