This simple little piece of plastic fixes 2 problems that most Cruze owners will most likely know of. One, the armrest loves to keep sliding back over time when you are resting your arm on it. Two, if there was a way to keep it forward, you can't unlatch it to open the lid.

I saw someone on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1-Y-eG689o) do this with a small piece of wood. I didn't have any wood, but I do have Fusion 360, a 3D printer, and some filament. This is meant to go in between the latch release mechanism and the latch release lever. It is kind of pain in the butt to get it in, but once it's in, it wont come out.

My trick was to try and pull the armrest out farther than it's suppose to and then force it in. Put one end in the front where you push the button to release the latch first, it makes it easier to get in. If you do have too many issues and want to model a modified version, the dimensions of the piece is 77mm x 25.4mm x 4mm.

Notes:

I live in Iowa and the weather hasn't been too hot lately, but I would say my car has gotten to about 110F (43.3c) inside and the PLA is holding up fine so far. I know the glass transition point of PLA is 140F (60c) and I want my car to get that warm inside to see if it causes it to fail, and I'll make sure to update this with my findings over time. Obviously ABS, PETG, and other higher temp filaments will hold up much better to the extreme heat in a car, but I only have PLA. I Printed at 50%, but I think anything over 20% should be enough to keep it sturdy.
