Multifix Tool Organiser

Tool holders for AS multifix tool post (and possibly A as well, as I think they’re the same size, just taller. I don’t have any A sized to check with, so I’ll leave that to those with an A to try and comment on).

Inspired by this print https://www.printables.com/model/553731-multifix-halter-grosse-as by Lessi, I remodelled mine from the ground up as I found that his was too tight even with the suggested 98% reduction in size. 

Mine do not have the teeth that engage with the splines on the holders, so they slide on and off with less effort. They fit fine with my holders, which are from PeWe Tools.

As with the original, they attach to a piece of 40x40 aluminium extrusion. You will need appropriate t-nuts and countersunk M8 screws. As I kept my model the same height as the original, And Lessi used 50mm screws, I ordered the same for mine but they ended up being too long. I can only assume that not all 40x40 is made the same. I ended up cutting my screws to allow for about 40mm of thread.

I bolted the 40x40 to the back of my chip guard and it's rock solid. I also designed a pot that keeps all my chuck keys and the tool post handle tidy
