I wanted a custom hook with a larger than normal hanger for bag loops and a clothes horse that needed taking up off the floor in a cupboard. I wanted the lip to lean outward to make it as easy as possible to locate things on the hooks. So I designed my own, in Fusion360.

Two holes supplied, countersunk, to fit #6 woodscrew, any length of course and pair with whatever wallplug you like (or on its own if screwing into wood/stud/etc). Probably don't need 2 holes but I put the second one in anyway in case I wanted to stop the hook from twisting to the side, it's unlikely the second screw would be needed for strength as the limiting factor is the layer bonding strength of the PLA resin. I stress tested the same design with 3mm back section and it snapped at 7lb so I redesigned it to be 5mm thick and added a chunkier fillet to join it to the base - it takes 7lb now (I didn't take it any further!) with only moderate bending, which is going to be fine for the clothes horse as that only weighs 4lb and it's supported by two hooks so that's shared out to just 2lb per hook :o)

  • Orientation - lay it on its middle section on the printbed and it won't need any supports. I chamfered the bottom front angle, rather than filleting it, for this reason. STL is orientated correctly now, I've reuploaded it. UPDATE - I was a newbie when I designed this, and with experience I now realize that that orientation puts the load stresses between the layers. Mine failed after a couple of years, admittedly in the 2026 4th heatwave of the year hahahaha, so I now recommend printing on either of the two SIDE EDGES so that all the loading is directed along the printed filament and should be about 3 times stronger!

  • Infill - 35% recommended, more if you want.

  • Material used - Elegoo PLA+, in red so the hooks are easy to see in a dark cupboard.

  • Layer height - 0.2mm

  • Nozzle diameter - 0.4mm

  • Walls - 5 recommended

  • Speed - 60mm/s

Printed on Elegoo Neptune3 Pro so the gcode file is for that model with the above print settings if you happen to want that, otherwise use the STL file and set the print settings yourself.
