The piston on the boat's manual toilet pump broke and the pump stopped working. Because I couldn't find the spare part in stock and I was forced to buy the complete pump, I decided to design and 3D print the piston I needed to repair the pump myself.
To thread the stem, the piece has a captive nut, DIN 934 stainless steel 316 M8. You have to pause printing for a few seconds to insert it.
The piece is printed with ABS because it is the hardest material I had. To make it more resistant, the piece is printed with 6 perimeters and 50% infill. I painted supports only on the overhang where the o-ring is housed.
